Food Packaging Lead Time: What Usually Affects It
Lead time depends on artwork, materials, production queue, packing and shipping.
Artwork approval comes first
For printed packaging, production usually cannot start until artwork and proof details are approved.
Materials may need planning
Special paper, coating or custom sizes can add time. Ask about material availability before confirming delivery promises.
Transport time is separate
Production lead time is not the same as arrival time. Always add shipping and customs time for export orders.
