Paper Cup Sizes for Coffee Shops: What Buyers Should Check

A practical note on matching cup sizes, lids and packing before ordering custom paper cups.

Start with the drink menu

Coffee shops often need more than one cup size. A simple range may include small espresso drinks, standard hot coffee and larger takeaway drinks. Before asking for a quote, check the actual serving volume and whether customers usually add milk, ice or toppings.

Lid fit matters more than many buyers expect

Two cups with similar capacity may not use the same lid. Ask for rim diameter, compatible lid type and sample confirmation. This avoids a common problem: cups arrive on time, but lids from another supplier do not fit tightly.

Think about handling and heat

Single wall cups can work for some drinks, but hot beverages may need a sleeve, double wall cup or ripple wall cup. The choice affects both cost and customer experience.
